Howard Cooke

Howard is the Director of Corporate Occupier Real Estate Consultancy a company specialising in all aspects of corporate real estate. His work includes acquisitions; asset management; disposals; restructuring; litigation management on issues such as break clauses; and portfolio management strategies. A major focus of his work over the last twenty years has been in mitigating lease liabilities providing a range of services to corporate occupiers arising from surplus properties including IAS37 assessments.

He is a highly experienced commercial property consultant with more than 30 years’ professional experience in both management and consultancy roles, including professional experience at Hillier Parker; P&O Properties; Asda Property Holdings; Fraser CRE and GVA.

Howard has been an Associate Tutor at The College of Estate Management, Reading and Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, and he has lectured at the CASS Business School, Henley Business School and UCL. He co-authored ‘Corporate Occupiers’ Handbook’ and has been the Editor of The Journal of Corporate Real Estate. He has written a number of articles for various journals, including Journal of Corporate Real Estate, The Estates Gazette and the International Journal of Strategic Property Management. He is currently a Dissertation Supervisor at UCL and is undertaking research with the University of Eindhoven on Corporate Real Estate.

CORE works with a number of partners in delivering solutions for clients. It provides a strong support function that deals with issues such as property insurance inspections, key management, interface with contractors and so on.
